Scottsdale Flower Show 2019
We had four entries in the Scottsdale and we did very well.
We came in 2nd in our Club Competition,” Chuck Wagon Supper” – Functional Table for 4. Thanks to everyone who helped put this together and lent us supplies.
Renee Waite won the jackpot with her Petite Design, “Springtime in Paris.” Her design is only 3 inches tall. She won a blue ribbon for the best design in her class, the ribbon for best overall Petite Design, and the best design in show with the Designer’s Choice Award. A big Congratulations is in order! Bravo!
The first time exhibiting in a flower show, Pat Murrish entered in the Lemon Class in the Horticulture Division, and won a blue ribbon. Great first entry, Pat! Congratulations.
Beth Kirkpatrick won a third place ribbon for Cascade Design, “Niagara Falls.” This is so pretty!

Bird Walk February 2019
We had a gorgeous day and a good club turnout for the bird walk at Gilbert Riparian Preserve on Sat, Feb 16th. It was our good fortune to have the bird walk led by the Naturalist for the Gilbert Riparian Preserve and a Desert Audubon Society guide. As you can see from the happy faces on the attached picture, it was a beautiful day (60 degrees & sunny).
